Pigmented Cells – Cancerous Cells

Why is it so important to not only address Hyper Pigmentation for aesthetic reasons, but for health reasons as well?

Age Spots, Liver Spots, pigmentation, hyper pigmentation are all different names for the exact same thing; overproduction of Melanin due to sun or actinic exposure.  Sometimes your hormones will trigger over production of Melanin due to triggers such as birth control pills, pregnancy, menopause, and endometriosis to name a few.

Pigmented cells are not only unsightly aesthetically but also precarious from a health perspective.  Pigmented cells increase inflammation and therefore create an acidic environment.  Diseases such as cancer like acidic environments, hence making pigmented cells the perfect breeding ground for basal cell carcinoma.

So what can you do to not only protect your skin’s health and wellbeing but to also make it look aesthetically more appealing?  Treatments that include ingredients such as AHAs, Superficial and Medium-Depth peels, brightening enzymes such as pumpkin and papaya are all beneficial in eliminating pigmented cells.  Furthermore, be sure to incorporate ingredients such as Vitamins A, B, C, E, and anti-inflammatories into your daily at home care!
